carolinensis هو الطائر المغرد صغير
الذي يولد في الغابات القديمة النمو
في معظم أنحاء أمريكا الشمالية المعتدلة.
وهو طائر ممتلئ الجسم، مع رأس كبير، وذيل قصير قوي وقدم قوي
و upperparts شاحب اللون الأزرق الرمادي،
والوجه والأسفل من البيض لديها قبعة سوداء
والبطن السفلى كستناء البذور تشكل جزءا كبيرا من غذاءها في الشتاء
كما تأكل الجوز والمكسرات
والجوز الذي تم تخزينها بواسطة الطيور أخرى في فصل الخريف
العش في حفرة في شجرة.
